Terms and Conditions:
* The Peter Cooper Motor Group 7 day Money Back Guarantee
Applies to Used vehicles only
We want you to love the Used car you’ve bought from the Peter Cooper Motor Group (PCMG), which is why we give you 7 days to drive it and get a real feel for it. If you decide you want to return your car within the first 7 days, let us know and we’ll give you a full refund, no questions asked. Please see below how it works:
Our 7-Day Money Back Guarantee
How does the 7-Day Money Back Guarantee work?
You’ve got up to a week to get to know the Used car you’ve bought from the PCMG and to make sure it suits you. If, for whatever reason, you’re not completely happy with it, just let us know by 4pm on the 7th day after your collection date and we’ll give you a full refund.
What are the limits of the 7-Day Money Back Guarantee?
·Neither the listing price on the PCMG website/site, nor price paid for the vehicle may be more than £50,000.
·We can’t accept a return if the car has been modified or altered from the condition it was received in.
·If you drive the car over the 250 mile limit during the first 7 days, every additional mile will cost £1 per mile and we may not be able to accept the car as a return.
·If the car has been in an accident or is damaged, we may not be able to accept the car as a return, or there may be charges for damage.
I want to return my car within the 7-Day Money Back Guarantee period. What should I do?
If you’d like to return your car within the 7-Day Money Back Guarantee period, you’ll need to contact us to book a time to return the vehicle back to the site you bought it from. If you don't contact us within 7 days of your collection date, you won’t be eligible for the 7-Day Money Back Guarantee.
You can book your return by messaging us through our web site www.petercoopergroup.co.uk/contactus.
We will also need your V5C log book at the same time. If you haven't received it back from the DVLA by the time you need to return the vehicle, please post it to the relevant business address of the Peter Cooper site when it arrives from the DVLA. Please note that this may delay the return of your funds.
What if I paid for the vehicle using finance?
If you purchased the vehicle through a financing arrangement, such as hire purchase (HP) or personal contract purchase (PCP) schemes, the finance provider may be the legal owner of the vehicle under the terms of the relevant finance agreement. Under such schemes you will generally have a 14 day cooling off period in which to cancel your finance contract.
In order for us to purchase the vehicle from you under this money back guarantee, you must be the legal owner of the vehicle so you will need to cancel any such finance arrangement and pay back any amounts borrowed so that you become the legal owner.
You will be responsible for any early repayment or other charges of the third party finance provider and, if the amount paid under the guarantee is less than the amount payable under the finance arrangement, you will be responsible for any shortfall.
If you have any questions about how to cancel your finance arrangement in order to claim the PCMG 7 day money back guarantee, please Contact Us.
Returns & refunds:
When will I get my money back if I return my car?
We aim to process all refunds within 24 hours. Once a refund has been processed, it usually takes 3-5 working days for the money to go back into your account. This is due to the amount of time needed for the bank to process your refund.
How does the refund process work?
When you return the vehicle to us, we will check it over and agree if it’s in acceptable condition to return. Then we’ll start the refund process.
The refund will need to happen using the same original payment method and will include any charges for damage or mileage beyond the 250 mile limit.
The refund will only be processed once we have your signed V5 document. Once all this is confirmed, your money will be back in your account within 3-5 working days.
If I return the vehicle I bought from the PCMG, will I get my part exchanged car back at the same time?
If you decide to return your vehicle bought from the PCMG within the 7-Day Money Back Guarantee period, we won’t be able to give you your old car back. We'll do our best to help you find an alternative car to buy from within the PCMG. We’ll also pay you the cash equivalent of the part exchange via bank transfer.
If I return my car, how will I get a road tax refund from the DVLA?
If you return your car and need to get your road tax refunded, you will need to do this direct with the DVLA.
